Snorkel goes on UK tour

Aerial work platform manufacturer Snorkel has set off on a 2000 mile road trip across the UK.

Snorkel is carrying out on-site product demonstrations at rental/hire companies and resellers across the UK, in a two-week tour of the island. Snorkel has just completed its global re-brand from UpRight Powered Access. Many of the former UpRight lifts are now sold under the Snorkel banner - and the company has also developed new ranges of boom lifts and electric scissor lifts.

Mark Yarnold, UK key account sales manager, said: "I'm really excited and enthused to be introducing the new Snorkel brand in the UK. It's not just a switch from blue paint to orange - there is a new strength in both our product line and the support behind it.

"This is very much a people business. I believe that the best way to demonstrate our new strength is to do it the old-fashioned way - get out there, meet those people and let them judge the machines for themselves."

Mark, who owns a full HGV licence, will be steering a 38 t rig over more than 2000 miles, stopping at major towns and cities in England, Scotland and Wales. On the low loader will be the new Snorkel S1930E electric scissor lift and the S2770BE, a recent addition to the compact rough terrain scissor family. The Snorkel S27770BE is a bi-energy machine, meaning it can run on the diesel engine for outdoor work, switching to zero emissions battery power for interior applications. Joining them are three of the most popular products from the former UpRight range - the Snorkel TM12 (UpRight TM12 telescopic mast lift), Snorkel A38E (UpRight AB38 all-electric articulating boom lift) and the last of the Speed Level series produced in UpRight blue.

Mark started his journey in Northumberland on 20 September before driving to Glasgow. The road show then travels through Scotland and England, finishing in Cardiff on Friday, October 1^st.
