Nick Sowden, president of Snorkel Asia, talks a customer through the low-level access range at Build Tech Asia.

At Build Tech Asia 2011, held at the end of April Snorkel demonstrated some of its latest products designed for Low Level Access.

Nick Sowden, President of Snorkel Asia, said, "This was a busy show and our strategy of focusing on smaller, compact equipment proved to be correct."

Snorkel exhibited four lifts from its compact electric range. This included the Pop-Up range of lightweight push-around scissor lifts. Designed to lift one person and tools, to working heights of up to 5m, these lifts can be easily pushed into position by one person and are light and compact enough to work on suspended flooring in commercial buildings such as offices, hospitals and hotels.

"The simplicity and personal nature of the Pop-Up range make these machines ideal for improving productivity and safety in construction and maintenance applications across Asia," said Mr Sowden, "and we are working hard to introduce the concept."

Snorkel also exhibited its new S1930E scissor lift and showed the last of the TM12 self-propelled mast lifts.
