Socage has launched a new compact vehicle mount on a 3.5 tonne chassis.

The 17.7m working height telescopic ForSte 18 Speed truck mount is an upgrade of the existing ForSte 18, bringing it into the Italian manufacturer’s Speed range.

Standard features of the new Speed line are automatic stabilisation, with its extendible H-type stabilisers, and automatic closing of the aerial section, with a single click on the control unit, including from the basket.

The company said, “Thanks to the Speed automatic stabilisation, the platform is able to obtain a very fast and safe stabilisation, occupying the minimum space possible for the vehicle with its vertical stabilisers, making the most of both space and time.”

Offering a 17.7m height and 10m outeach, the model comes with a basket measuring 1400mm x 700mm x 1100mm, and payload of 300kg, for two operators and materials. The basket has 700-degree rotation.

Socage added that the low weight of the assembly allowed for a wide range of customisation, combined with the ability to add extra equipment.

The company said that its forSte 18T is one of the most popular platforms in its range and is ideal for working in urban areas with difficult access, as well as in industrial areas. The compact model measures 2940mm x 7180mm in transport position.
