07 December 2020

UK-based access specialist Spiderlift has added a new Falcon FS330Z Vario to its fleet.

The FS330Z Vario has a maximum lifting capacity of 250kg, a working height of 33m and an outreach of 19m, along with a telescopic boom and an articulated jib. The machine also features a dual sigma riser,

Ben Dobson, director at Spiderlift, said, “This specialist machine boasts incredible outreach and an improved lifting capacity, as well as diesel and onboard battery power”.

The tracked access platform, which has a diesel and electric powered engine, was put straight to work at Tintern Abbey on the banks of the River Wye in Wales.

The work at the abbey was the machine’s first project after it was delivered by the manufacturer. Spiderlift used the FS330Z to help maintain the ruins of the historic abbey, which was destroyed in 1536 during the English Reformation that followed Henry VIII’s break from Rome and the Catholic Church.
