Terex AWP expands Runabout line

Terex Aerial Work Platforms (AWP) has introduced its new Genie QuickStock lift, a product that will add to the company's Runabout line. The QuickStock is available in all three model heights: 12 feet, 15 feet and 20 feet and comes in two versions: retail or warehouse.

The retail version features a footprint of 53 inches by 29.5 inches and a zero inside turning radius. It has a capacity of up to 500 pounds or 350 pounds for the QS 20 (QuickStock with a 20-foot height), which allows for picking and placing larger loads. The units have optional dual bicycle hooks and a large workstation tray, along with a joystick that is positioned up front to provide operators with increased visibility. A rear parcel tray is available for both the QS 12 and 15.

"With its drivable picking platform, the QuickStock lift is ideal for locations wehre the use of high-density racking systems is common," said Kim Williams, senior market analyst, Terex AWP. "The QuickStock offers a quick, effective and safe way of picking and placing stock versus other types of equipment."

The QuickStock line has enclosed wiring, maintenance-free batteries, non-marking tires, and a 6-foot charger cord that allows the battery to be charged without the need for a separate extension cord. The units are also equipped with dual platform swing gates that provide operators with easy access in any direction and the units also feature a 15.5-inch step-in height.

The QuickStock also features dual flashing beacons for when it is in operation and a new safety feature, a obstruction sensing pad located on top of the chassis, senses when an object is on the unit, causing the platform to stop automatic descending.

The warehouse version of the QuickStock has all the features of the retail version except the dual flashing beacons and obstruction sensing pad.
