Niftylift is celebrating after winning two prestigious Queen’s Awards for Enterprise.

The UK-based manufacturer has received the Queen’s Award for Enterprise - Innovation, and the Queen’s Award for Enterprise - International Trade, two of the UK’s highest accolades for business.

The innovation award recognises companies that have demonstrated commercial success through innovative products and is given to Niftylift for the design, development and manufacture of its 17 m Hybrid work platform, the HR17 Hybrid 4x4. “As one of the world’s first parallel hybrid work platforms this state-of-the-art product combines market leading performance with innovative safety features and an environmentally conscious power plant,” said a company spokesman.

The International Trade award recognises companies that have demonstrated growth in overseas earnings over at least three years and was given to Niftylift in recognition of outstanding achievement in export sales, with year-on-year increases of 106%, said the company spokesman.

Roger Bowden, Niftylift Chairman and Founder commented: This is a tremendous achievement for us and we are honoured to be recognised as a company of the highest calibre of British business. These awards help to illustrate how our dedication to design and innovation together with our attention to detail and strong customer focus have allowed us to continue to compete successfully in this global marketplace.

I am very proud of the strong and close knit team we have here at Niftylift and I’d like to thank them all for their professionalism and commitment to ensuring our worldwide reputation and success over the years.”

John Keely, Niftylift managing director, said this was a good result for the powered access industry, adding, “We are proud to be a British manufacturer and the recognition will promote the importance of the UK manufacturing industry. Great thanks to our vast worldwide network of dealers and our valued customers who have placed their trust in our products and company.”
