Venpa acquires Venice lifting specialist

Lifitng equipment specialist rental company Venpa has acquired a majority stake in MinoEge as part of its growth strategy across Italy.

Venpa, the largest company in the GV3 group, which also rents earthmoving equipment, will add to its 4,000 unit fleet with aerial platform and mobile crane specialist MinoEge, which has been in operation since 1991.

Owned until now by the Giro family, the company is headquartered in La Salute di Livenza in the Venice province, with branches in eastern Veneto, Friuli-Venezia Giulia and Sardinia. It has 20 employees and 200 vehicles in its fleet, 30 of which are specialist vehicles. Dario Giro will retain the position of director,

The deal follows Venpa’s expansion in Apulia with the opening of Rental Sud in Corato, Bari, the recent strengthening of its presence in Trentino Alto Adige, with its new Trento branch and the company’s entry into Nolotecnica in Laives, Bolzano. With MinoEge, Venpa has 37 branches across Italy.

the GV3 group,” said Emanuela Pege, President of Venpa. “We are therefore consolidating what has been achieved and at the same time broadening our horizons, building synergies, welcoming new realities specialised in rental and strongly rooted in their territory.

“We are thrilled that the entry into MinoEge has been successfully completed. It will bring an enrichment of skills for both companies, Venpa specialises in cold hire and MinoEge specialises in hot hire. Therefore, we are excited to start this new GV3 rental experience together with Dario and Matteo Giro and the MinoEge staff.”
