Shown for the first time on the stand of the Italian manufacturer GSR were two double articulated truck mounted booms: the low truck version of E200PX and the 27m working height E270PX. Stefan Weber, GSR's sales manager said, "The two new machines complete the GSR PX range."

In addition the company was previewing the Steiger T 470 in 3D animation; this machine will be being built from the end of this year and are expected to be available by Spring 2009.

Italy's GSR unveiled its E140TJV model, a 14.3 m working height telescoping boom on a 3.5 t van. The machine, has a 130° fly jib, a maximum basket capacity of 220 kg and a maximum out reach of 8.3 m. Vehicle payload is 350 kg.

UK manufacturer, Aldercote, has built an 8.5m working height platform mounted onto a Ford Ranger, for a CCTV contractor. The customer had been renting a trailer mounted platform to carry out his work but decided this combination was a more cost effective route.

Oil&Steel in Italy has launched the 20 m working height 2010 Compact to expand its Snake line of 3.5 t truck mounted platforms to four models. The new model fits, in terms of size, between the Snake 189 and Snake 2112 Smart models but offers a different working envelope and a novel stabilization concept.

The UK subsidiary of international offshore service company, Oceanteam, has used a 34 m working height Bronto Skylift MDT34 to inspect a lifting structure on the Norwegian company's barge, CLB Explorer.
