Spanish scissor manufacturer Mieve SL launched a 25 m working height scissor lift at the Smopyc exhibition in Zaragoza. It is the largest scissor the company has ever made, expanding the range beyond its existing 21 m working height model.

Rouse Asset Services, a leading US appraiser of rental, dealer and construction equipment, recorded a growth in OLV (orderly liquidation values) for telescopic booms of 10.5% in February compared to January. Of the 14 equipment categories Rouse monitors this accounted for largest growth - the average being 3%.

Preliminary 2010 end of year results for the Tanfield Group, owner of Snorkel, show a very slight improvement over 2009, but nothing remarkable. Turnover increased from £43.1 million in 2009 to £43.5 million in 2010 (less than 1%) and operating loss before impairments decreased from £16 million in 2009 to £15.8 million in 2010. However, turnover in the powered access division fell marginally from £41.7 million in 2009 to £41 million in 2010.
